松(song)(song)江(jiang)古(gu)称华(hua)亭(ting)(ting)(ting)，別称有云间(jian)、茸(rong)城、谷水等，是江(jiang)山着(zhe)名的鱼米(mi)名镇。唐(tang)天宝五(wu)年(nian)(nian)（75半(ban)年(nian)(nian)），置(zhi)华(hua)亭(ting)(ting)(ting)县(xian)。元至(zhi)元十几年(nian)(nian)（1272年(nian)(nian)）升为华(hua)亭(ting)(ti🌃ng)(ting)府(fu)，翌年(nian)(nian)变为松(song)(song)江(jiang)府(fu)。至(zhi)清嘉(jia)庆(qing)五(wu)年(nian)(nian)（1805年(nian)(nian)）演(yan)变成为1府(fu)（松(song)(song)江(jiang)）、7县(xian)（华(hua)亭(ting)(ting)(ting)、西(xi)(xi)安、青浦(pu)、娄(lou)、奉贤(xian)、金山、南汇）、1厅（川(chuan)沙）。民(min)国元年(nian)(nian)（19多年(nian)(nian)）废府(fu)，华(hua)亭(ting)(ting)(ting)、娄(lou)县(xian)合并且还为华(hua)亭(ting)(ting)(ting)县(xian)，归河北(bei)省(sheng)所(suo)辖。民(min)国两年(nian)(nian)（191几年(nian)(nian)）改称松(song)(song)江(jiang)县(xian)。一汽解放(fang)后，苏南行政管理(li)署设(she)松(song)(song)江(jiang)活(huo)动版官。195七年(nian)(nian)6月(yue)(yue)，松(song)(song)江(jiang)活(huo)动版官撤消(xiao)，改隶深圳活(huo)动版官。195七年(nian)(nian)16月(yue)(yue)由河北(bei)省(sheng)划归西(xi)(xi)安市。199七年(nian)(nian)3月(yue)(yue)，财(cai)政部获准(zhun)撤县(xian)设(she)区💟(qu)。
Songjiang, once called Huating in ancient times, also known as Yunjian, Rongcheng, and Gushui, is a famous town south of the Yangtze River. In 751 of the Tang Dynasty, Songjiang was named Huating County. In 1277 during the Yuan Dynasty, it was named Huating Prefecture, which was changed to Songjiang Prefecture the next year. Then in 1805 in the Qing Dynasty, it was developed into Songjiang Prefecture with Huating, Shanghai, Qingpu, Lou, Fengxian, Jinshan, Nanhui, and Chuansha Counties subject to it. In 1912, when the prefecture was abolished, Huating and Lou were merged into Huating County of Jiangsu Province. In 1914, Huating County was changed to Songjian♛g County. After liberation, the area became Songjiang Special District. In March 1958, it was merged into Suzhou Special District, and in November, Songjiang became a county of Shanghai. Then in February 1998, the State Council approved Songjꦆiang to be a district.

With a pl𝓰easant northern subtropical monsoon climate, Songjiang enjoys four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall. Its summer is hot and humid, while winter is cold and dry. In 2021, the average temperature was significantly higher, with increased precipitation and normal sunshine. The average annual temperature was 18.2 degrees Celsius, 2.0 degrees higher than average. The city had 1,864.0 hours of sunshine, 65.0 hours higher than average, and 1,560.5 millimeters of rainfall, 392.3 millimeters higher than average. The highest temperature was 36.7 degrees Celsius and the lowest was -7.5 degrees Celsius.

These projects reached an investment of 15.831-billion-yuan, accounting for 76.0% of the total investment in industrial fixed assets. Several major industrial projects, such as Wanxiang Automobile, BYD Battery, Shangshi Energy Technology, and Huadao Biological Pharmacy were settled. The district continued to make efforts in rural revitalization. The District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission was rated as the only National Advanced Collective in Grain Production in Shanghai, and the farmers’ satisfaction with rural revitalization had been leading in Shanghai for many years. The construction of family farms continued to deepen, and the grain yield per mu, the number of live pigs, and the green food certification rate ranked among the top in Shanghai. A special campaign of elim🐼inating illegal non-agricultural greenhouses was launched to stick to the red line policy of arable land protection. A new round of rural homestead reform was promoted, and 4,556 peasant households signed contracts for the relatively concen🐻trated residence, forming the “Huangqiao Experience” of the rural revitalization demonstration village, the rural living environment continued to improve. 29,000 households were connected to natural gas pipelines, and 247 rural roads were upgraded. The district took the lead in completing the rural collective property rights system reform in Shanghai, building the first rural collective asset management platform in Shanghai, and piloting the entry of rural collective operational construction land into the market.

By the end of the year, there were 1,032 intellectual fitness gardens, 112 public fitness trails, 107 public courts, 17 public gyms, 4 sports parks, and 5 fitness centers. Sheshan National Forest Park is the only natural mountainous forest touring site in Shanghai. The Park covers an area of 267 acres with 79.44% of the scenic spot covered by forests. There are 12 hills in the park, stretching their way from the southwest to the northeast, like a string of jade pearls with a total length of 13km, offering Shanghai’s flat land a mountainous view. In June 1993, the former Nat𝕴ional Ministry of Forestry approved the establishment of Sheshan National Forest Park. In 2001, it was honored as one of the first national 4A-level touring sites. The scenic spots that opened to the public are East Sheshan Hill Park, West Sheshan Hill Park, Tianmashan Hill Park, and Xiaokunshan Hill Park.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is in Sheshan National Tourist Resort (No.3888 Chenhua Highway). It is created through collaboration between the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the State Forestry Administration, which combines scientific research, popular science, and sightseeing purpose. This remarkable 207-hectare botanical garden is the large🌟st one in East China. Chenshan Ancient Site in the garden was announced by Shanghai Municipal Government as a cultural relics protection unit of Shanghai in April 2014. The site was first found in early 2009, covering an area of about 16 hectares. It is preliminarily determined to be an ancient cultural site in the Shang and Zhou dynasties.
The botanical garden consists of four functional areas: the central exhibition area, the plant conservation area, the plant areas on five co𒁃ntinents, and the peripheral buffer zone. The exhibition greenhouse covers an area of 12,608 square meters. It consists of Tropical Flower and Fruit Museum, Sand Botany Museum, and Exotic Botany Museum. It is the largest exhibition greenhouse group in Asia. Among them, Sand Botany Museum is the largest indoor sand botanyꦜ exhibition hall in the world. Now Chenshan Botanical Garden is a national 4A-level scenic spot.

Established in 1978, Shanghai Square Pagoda Park covers an area of 182 mu. Its original site was the downtown of Huating during the Tang and Song Dynasties. There are 8 national, municipal, and district unmovable cultural relics in the park, including Xingshengjiao Temple Pagoda, which was announced as national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in November 1996; Lanrui Hall, Screen Wall of Engraved Bricks, Chen Huacheng Memorial Temple, Temple of the Queen of Heaven and Wangxian Bridge were announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014, Stone Statues of Ming Dynasty, Front Hall of Zhang’s Residence were announced as So🀅ngjiang district relics protection unit in June 2013.
The entire landscape is centered on the Square Pagoda of Northern Song Dynasty, surrounded by the Wangxian Bridge of Southern Song Dynasty, Screen Wall of Engraved Bricks of Ming Dynasty, Lanrui Hall, stone carving garden, Temple of the Q🍌ueen of Heaven, Chen Huacheng Memorial Hall, Helou Veranda, Qichang Corridor and so on. The park is rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot.

With an area of 76 mu, Shanghai Zuibaichi Park is one of the five ancient gardens in Shanghai. There are two immovable cultural relics in the park, including Zuibaichi, which was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014; Woodcarving Hall, which was announced as Songjiang County Cultural Relics Protection Unit in July 1985. The predecessor of the garden was Guyang Garden, the residence of Zhu Zhichun, a jinshi (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations) in the Song Dynasty. The garden was also a place for Dong Qichang (a famous calligrapher and painter in Ming Dynasty) to drink and write poems. 370 years ago, during the period of Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty, it was a private villa of Gu Dashen, chief of the Ministry of Works, he rebuilt the garden and changed its name to “Zuibaichi” because he worshipped Bai Juyi (poet of the Tang dynasty). The garden has many pavilions, terraces, and open halls such as Letian Xuan (a small room or veranda with windows) of the Song Dynasty, Simian (four sides) Hall, Yi Fang (a boat-shaped building), Reading Hall of the Ming Dynasty, and Cottage above the Pool, Xuehai Hall, Baocheng Building, Woodcarving Hall of the Qing Dynasty. Art treasures such as stone carvings of Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy authentic works “Visit to the Red Cliff” of Yuan Dynasty and steles of “Portraits of Excellent Talents in Y🌱unjian” of Qing Dynasty are collected in the park. There are countless contemporary calligraphers’ inscribed tablets and couplets hanging in the park. Now the park is rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot.

Guangfulin Site of Ancient Culture is in the north of Songjiang New City, it spans Longyuan Road to the east, Guangfulin Road to the south, Shenjing River to the west, and North Yinze Road to the north. Covering an area of about 850 mu, it is the most abundant and valuable among 29 cultural sites in Shanghai. There are three immovable cultural relics on the site, i꧙ncluding Guangfulin Site of Ancient Culture, which was announced as national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in May 2013; Chen Zilong Tomb, which was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in November 1987; Zhiye Bridge, which was announced as Songjiang district cultural relics protection point in January 2016.
The site takes the protection zone of the archaeological site as its core and presents its original form with farming ecological culture and authentic rural scenery. The profound culture is the core competitiveness of Guangfulin, which includes a cultural display area, a folk display area, a religious display area, an archeological site exhibition♕ hall, and a porcelain kiln exhibition hall. Guangfulin Country Park is built around the five core elements of “field, water, road, forest, and village”, and is based on the natural ecological landscape of farming. Shanghai Pujiang River Source Scenic Spot is the starting point of Shanghai’s mother river, Huangpu River, also known as the “Zero Kilometer of Huangpu River”. The Xietang River and Yuanxiejing Creek, which meander from Jiangsu and Zhejiang, converge here to form a delta-shaped treasure land and flow into Huangpu River through Hengliaojing Creek. Fishing and Recreation Center in Shanghai Western Fishing Village takes up a l🅘and of over 60♌0 mu and is one of the best-equipped fishing centers in eastern China. Located at No.3000 Shenzhuan Highway in Sheshan Tow🌠n, also the southwest side of Tianma Entrance and Exit of G1503 Shanghai Ring Expressway, Shanghai Ti꧑anma Circuit covers an area of about 230 mu. Inaugurated in 2004, the circuit is an F4 track certified by FIA. As a platform integrating recreation, learning, and competition, the circuit provides an ideal service for enjoying automobile culture, corporate PR activities, tourism, and vacation, racing leisure and entertainment, safe driving training, and other activities. Its track’s length is 2.063km with 14 turns, including 8 left-turns and 6 right-turns. It also includes two safe driving sites of nearly 10,000 square meters. Songjiang Museum is a local chronicles museum, where the historical relics in Songjiang are collected, researched, and exhibited. The 2-storey exhibition room co☂vers an area of 1,200 square meters. The basic exhibition of “Treasures Buried in the Sand”, which is divided into 3 portions named “Dawn of Huangpu River”, “Glisten of the Historical River” and “Painting Arts”, is on the second floor. The exhibition scientifically shows the cultural relics, which are held in the museum and unearthed in Songjiang, and reflects the achievements during the different periods of social development combined with landscape restoration, lightbox, multimedia, and other auxiliary display methods. The first floor is a temporary exhibition hall, and various special exhibitions are held from time to time. Located on the east and west sides outside the exhibition hall, the Stele Gallery is composed of long corridors and tablet pavilions. The East Stele Gallery displays the historical materials and inscriptions of Songjiang Prefecture during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The West Stele Gallery displays the calligraphic art inscriptions of Zhao Mengfu, Dong Qichang, and Shen Quan.

Sutra Pillar of the Tang Dynasty
松江(jiang)唐经(jing)幢(chuang)座落(luo)松江(jiang)中山中心(xin)校(xiao)校(xiao)园网络内，198八(ba)年2月(yue)被(bei)吉林省人(ren)民政府发布公告为(wei)(wei)中国(guo)重中之重古建(jian)筑(zhu)工程自我保护组织。建(jian)于唐大中第十3年（859年），是仅(jin)存武汉最(zui)原(yuan)始的屋面建(jian)筑(zhu)工程。经(jing)幢(chuang)21级，高9.3米，八(ba)棱八(ba)面，故又称为(wei)(wei)为(wei)(wei)八(ba)棱碑，别名“唐经(jing)幢(chuang)”，美(me🐓i)🗹称“石塔”。
Sutra Pillar of the Tang Dynasty is located at the campus of Zhongshan Primary School, Songjiang. In January 1988, it was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Established in 859, the pillar is the oldest ground building in Shanghai. The pillar is built of 21 stone blocks with a height of 9.3 metꩲers. With eight ridges and eight slides, it is also known as the Eight-Ridge Pillar, commonly known as the “Sutra P🦄illar of the Tang Dynasty”, also known as the “Stone Pillar”.

大(da)仓(cang)桥(qiao)(qiao)是在(zai)永丰街镇(zhen)中江西路仓(cang)桥(qiao)(qiao)弄南，201几年4月被发(fa)布(bu)公告为武汉(han)市历(li)史文物保(bao)障机构，不是座高10余米(mi)，跨高50余米(mi)的(de)(de)五孔拱式大(da)石桥(qiao)(qiao)。桥(qiao)(qiao)名叫永丰，因(yin)桥(qiao)(qiao)南为松江府漕运仓(cang🎶)城，故统称大(da)仓(cang)桥(qiao)(qiao)。现为武汉(han)地方(fang)知(zhi)名的(de)(de)的(de)(de)北京在(zai)明大(da)石桥(qiao)(qiao)的(de)(de)一(yi)个。
Located at Cangqiao Lane South, West Zhongshan Roওad in Yongfeng Sub-district, Dacang Bridge was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014. The bridge spans 50 meters long and 10 meters high over the river. It was formerly known as Yongfeng Bridge and later named Dacang Bridge for there was Water Transport Warehouse City of Songjiang Prefecture to the south of the bridge. It is one of the famous big stone bridges of the Ming Dynasty in Shanghai.

Located at No.75 Gangbeng Alley, Maluqiao Neighborhood Committee in Yueyang Sub-district, Songjiang Mosque was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in August 1980. As one of the oldest mosques in Shanghai, Songjiang Mosque was built during 1341-1368, also named Zhenjiao Mosque. After many renovations and expansions during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the mosque today features the style of construction of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. The main buildings include Central Hall, Kiln Hall, Crossing Corridor, North and South Speech Hall, and Bangke Chamber. Among them, the Kiln Hall and Bangke Chamber can best represen𒁃t the traits of the Mosque.

Xilin Temple
西(xi)(xi)林(lin)(lin)禅寺(si)，別名崇恩(en)寺(si𒆙)，建(jian)于南宋咸淳年(nian)里(li)（1265—127几(ji)年(nian)）。明(ming)洪武四(si)十二年(nian)（138七年(nian)）改(gai)建(jian)，座落在岳阳街办(ban)中山间路66-6。明(ming)正(zheng)统皇(huang)敕封时赐名“大(da)清西(xi)(xi)林(lin)(lin)禅寺(si)”。正(zheng)殿车辆后门还有一个(ge)塔(ta)，名圆(yuan)应(ying)宝(bao)塔(ta)，被称作“西(xi)(xi)林(lin)(lin)塔(ta)”。圆(yuan)应(ying)塔(ta)（西(xi)(xi)林(lin)(lin)🔯塔(ta)）1982年(nian)4月被发布为苏州市古(gu)墓(mu)葬保(bao)护英文工作单位(wei)。塔(ta)身(shen)七层八面，砖木构造，塔(ta)高46.5米，到现在为止仍为苏州中北(bei)部最高的的一栋古(gu)塔(ta)。
Located at No.666 Middle Zhongshan Road in Yueyang Sub-district, Xilin Temple, also known as Chong’en Temple, was originally built during 1265-1274 and reconstructed in 1387. In Ming Dynasty, an emperor named it as Xilin Te൲mple of Ming. Behind the main hall, there stands a 46.5-meter-high, 7-storey octagonal pagoda of br✱ick and wood structure, which is called Yuanying Pagoda, also well-known as Xilin Pagoda. Announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in September 1982, this pagoda is the tallest ancient pagoda in Shanghai.
